2011 AUBURN TIGERS BASEBALL PREVIEW
The 2010 Auburn Tigers are going to start the 2011 season defending their SEC Western Division title, which is their first title since 1995. With a season record of 43 - 21 and a SEC record of 20 -10. Last year's win adds to their already impressive six SEC Tournament titles. Auburn led the SEC last year in both batting averages and home runs.
At the 2010 MLB Draft, Auburn tied a SEC record with 11 players selected in 2010 draft, which also depletes the Tigers of most of their power hitters. Which leaves a lot of vacancies needing to be filled; the scouts have their work cut out for them.
When asked about the upcoming schedule Head Coach Pawlowski had this to say, "The 2011 schedule presents a great challenge to this young team as we prepare for another quest to make the SEC Tournament and post-season play.
