I know that your site is dedicated to SEC Sports. However since college sports must include academics, no one can hold a candle to the Big Ten when combining the two.
The ACC is another conference that I also respect. Of the country's top publicly funded universities, the Big Ten conference has most of the top engineering, medical, and business schools which is something that we take very seriously.
Does the SEC perform better in bowl games? Sure. But for the exception of Vanderbilt and Florida, I would never send my child to an SEC school.
Simply put, the Big Ten has a great balance when it comes to academics and athletics. These types of sites will always try to do scenarios of which school would do better in a football game. I would like to see an academic comparison of Auburn vs Northwestern, or Purdue vs LSU, Alabama vs the University of (pick your Big 10 school).
When you run the academic table between the conferences, it doesn't even come close.
