Nebraska vs South Carolina Preview

Nebraska and South Carolina will face off in a battle of wills and minds in the Capital One Bowl. The Nation's number four defense in South Carolina will face off against a very dangerous and versatile offense in Nebraska. With all the weapons in the backfield, it's crazy what they can do. Ingram and Clowney for South Carolina can give any offense fits, though, so it will be interesting to see how this game ends up and with the old ball coach and a fresh young mind of Bo the new Ball Coach on the sideline for Nebraska, it's crazy. I simply can't wait to watch this one. Entertainment is the key for this game, as it may be one of the best to watch of the bowl season. With everything these two ultra-talented and well coached teams can throw at each other we will be talking about this one for years.
For South Carolina the offense had to shift because of injury this season, but Lattimore can do what he can, and backup Wilds is a serviceable back. They seem to have finally found a quarterback to Coach Spurriers liking in Connor Shaw. He throws the ball well and seems to have the patience, but if things go crazy, Garcia is still looming. The receiving core is not what they really want, but it is improving, with Jeffery and Sanders they combined for 9 TD catches this season. There are improvements to be made next season, but as far as this game goes, it's going to be hard to throw the ball around much. They scored when they needed to during the season, but Nebraska's defense may hold up. They're going to have to see if they can do things to have good ball control and keep it out of the talented backfield of Nebraska's hands.
This is a Nebraska team building for the future. They were so good for so many years and just took a nose dive, but over the past little bit have seemingly risen like the phoenix. They are becoming something great. Martinez running and every once in a while throwing is something that is amazing to see. He has outstanding football instincts, he just needs to mature a bit. Burkhead is a great runningback and just keeps the train moving along the way when Martinez takes a break or just wants to hand off. Their two best receivers have a combined 4 touchdowns if that tells how much they throw it. They don't have the personel for it. They have to run to win and South Carolina can stop the run. That is the biggest problem for them in this game.
