2009 Georgia Bulldogs Golf
Georgia Bulldogs golf is the class of the SEC. In fact, it is the best in America. In 2009, UGA's men's golf team won the SEC Golf Championship again; but lost to Arkansas in the NCAA Championship Semifinals.
In 2007, the Bulldog men finished ranked #1; the women -- #3 -- in the nation.
How does 2008 look? Well, pre-season NCAA golf polls put Georgia's men's team at #3; the Lady Bulldog golfers at #8. The 2007-2008 Georgia Bulldogs golf men's roster includes:
- Rob Bennett/ sophomore out of Augusta, Georgia, height 5'9.
- Harris English/ freshman out of Thomasville, Georgia, height 6'3
- Michael Green/ junior out of Augusta, Georgia, height 5'10
- Brian Harman/ junior out of Savannah, Georgia, height 5'8
- Russell Henley/freshman out of Macon, Georgia, height 6'0
- Adam Mitchell/ unk, out of Chattanooga, Tennessee, height 5'9
- Hudson Swafford/sophomore out of Tallahassee, Florida, height 6'2
- Lowery Thomas/ freshman out of Auburn, Alabama, height 5'10
According to Bulldog Golf's head coach Chris Haack, the Georgia Bulldog's have a lot of positive minded players with winning attitudes. All ready to take on who ever they need to for the SEC title. 2008 should be a repeat of 2007 for Georgia. This means another SEC championship and hopefully another NCAA championship as well.
Georgia Bulldogs Women's Golf:
The Georgia Bulldogs golf -- women's team finished 6th at the Stanford Intercollegiate. It's a start for them. Some of the Lady Bulldog golfers weren't happy with their results. And that bodes well for the future. They are sure to improve.
The 2007-2008 Georgia Bulldogs Women's Golf team roster includes:
- Carolina Andrade/sophomore out of Cadiz, Spain, height 5'7
- Krystie Caithness/freshman out of St.Andrews,Scotland, height 5'4
- Ines Chandra/freshman out of Kuta,Bali,Indonesia. height 5'6

Depending on the layout of the green, each of the Georgia bulldogs golf women's team players have their own style. This is something Coach Hester likes about her team.
Some teams are like copycats. The players are all expected to have the same swing style, the same driving style, the same putting style, and so on.
The Georgia bulldogs golf women's team doesn't. They all seem to play their game of golf a bit differently, but still in a team fashion.
As you can see, several of the golfers are from other countries. This is a good thing as far as the coach is concerned.
