This is a joke. It's pretty obvious that the points system is based upon the strengths and weaknesses of the SEC. How is track and field and swimming and diving ahead of volleyball, softball, and soccer in the points?
There is no way that track and field and swimming and diving are more popular than these other 3 sports (maybe on the same level; maybe).
You also leave out sports that the SEC does not compete in while the majority of the other conferences do compete in these sports; how is that fair? I know that this is an SEC site so it's obviously biased, but come on, let's get real here.
Everyone outside of the SEC knows that the PAC-10 is the best overall sports conference and there are facts and evidence to back this up other then opinionated ranks and made up points systems--so just admit it and deal with it.
