Top SEC Prospects expected to Rack the 2015 NFL Draft

The Southeastern Conference is by far the most competitive in college football, and has provided the professional football league with many memorable stars. Alabama, LUS and Auburn, have reached the Championship game and continue to impress college football betting fans year after year.

This season is no different, and many suspect that there are several players capable of making the jump to the NFL. Here are some of the best SEC prospects for the 2015 NFL Draft:

1. Todd Gurley - RB – Georgia
   Standing at 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 232 pounds, Todd Gurley will be the top running back prospect in the 2015 NFL draft. He has stunning speed and is a monster at his position. His speed and elusiveness separates him from his peers, however, his durability is a huge concern. If he manages to stay healthy, then he stand a chance to become the best RB to come out of the draft since Adrian Peterson.


2. Amari Cooper - WR – Alabama
   At 6 feet 1 inch and 210 pounds, Alabama’s Amari Cooper is blowing away scouts thanks to his impressive physical attributes.  Cooper can create separation against any type of coverage. Teams can double him, and he will still find a way to bring in receptions. He has amassed 71 catches for 1,132 yards and nine scores in only nine games.


3. Cedric Ogbuehi - OT - Texas A&M
   After choosing to return for his senior season, Cedri has managed to impress scouts. The massive lineman stands at 6 feet 5 inches and 300 pounds, but he is also a mobile tackle.  He was a vital piece in the Johnny Manziel. In fact, many of Manziel’s plays were a result of Ogbuehi’s ability to block and extend plays for him.


4. Shane Ray - DE – Missouri
   Months ago, the Missouri Tigers were about who would replace SEC Defensive Player of the Year, Michael Sam. They found their answer with Shane Ray, who has been a great addition to the team this season. He leads the SEC in sacks and has a relentless motor. At 6 feet 3 inches and 245 pounds, he is the ideal for a 3-4 outside linebacker in the NFL. Regardless of where he plays in the NFL, he’s likely to shine in the NFL.


5. Landon Collins - SS – Alabama
   Landon Collins is fast enough to cover receivers downfield and strong enough to line up against tight ends on the goal line. He has the ability and quality to be a Pro Bowl safety in the NFL. Collins is very instinctive as well, amassing tackle after tackle. He could very well be a defensive back who can record five interceptions, three sacks and 100 tackles in an NFL season.
