The strength of schedule analysis in this article is wanting.
It is a bit of circular reasoning. The only ranked teams that Auburn beat were SEC teams. But those rankings largely stem from the pre-season rankings.
I didn't look at every SEC team - but what quality team did any SEC team beat this year outside of the conference?
So the SEC could be very good, mediocre, or poor - we won't know much about that until the bowl games - but then again, 8 of the SEC team's bowl games are in SEC land - so almost like home games.
Maybe we'll never know.
