SEC's Tough Bowl Season

The SEC has had a decent showing in the bowl games this season, and it is just a few plays away from being undefeated throughout the bowls.

All of the SEC's losses have been heart breakers, but none more so than Arkansas losing in the Sugar Bowl. The Hogs' defense did not show up in the first half at all, and looked dazed and confused until the third quarter. This was only compounded by the fact that the wide receivers couldn't catch a cold for the entire game (Joe Adams had one of the worst games of his career). The offensive line was downright offensive at times as well. And through all of that, Arkansas still had the chance to win the game before Ryan Mallett threw his only interception of the night.

Tennessee's loss was just as painful, as for the second time this season, the Vols ran off the field in celebration after being told they had won, only to be told later that they were going to have to keep playing. That killed their moral, and they eventually lost in the 2nd Overtime to a revitalized North Carolina team.

Overall, the SEC had its chances to be undefeated, but it just couldn't come up with enough plays when the chips were down. There is still the big game to turn it all around, however.
