#22 South Carolina at #24 Florida

It has all come down to one game for both the ‘Cocks and Gators. Never before has a team other than Florida, Georgia or Tennessee represented the SEC East, and for a while it looked as if USC was going to break that streak. I even predicted it back in September.

However since the day they upset Alabama, Carolina has been flat and lucky to get this far. Their luck will run out in Gainesville because there is no way Urban Meyer will let a chance to with the East slip away.

Get ready, Atlanta, Dudes like this are heading your way…

Florida 28 – South Carolina 7

SEC Game of the Week #2

Georgia at #2 Auburn

The South’s oldest rivalry renews in Auburn this weekend and there is a ton riding on this game for both the Tigers and Dawgs. Auburn has national and SEC championship hopes, Cam Newton has Heisman hopes, and the job of UGA coach Mark Richt could be riding on this one.

The visiting team usually wins this series, and since Auburn is at home (What else is new, they have played every game at home this year) they are due to have a stinker. I think the Dawgs will spring the upset, and make a lot of people in Boise and Fort Worth really happy.

Good thing it has gotten colder so guys like this will have to bundle up while watching this one…

Georgia 35 – Auburn 28

#17 Mississippi State at #11 Alabama

An interesting battle will kick off in Tuscaloosa as Mississippi State comes to town to face a Bama team that is on the verge of elimination from the SEC Western Division championship race.

The Bulldogs have made huge strides in their second year under Dan Mullen, but they are a year away from beating the Crimson Tide, especially on the road. Bama rebounds, but they are in a fight until the final gun.

Oh, my bad. It appears Edgar Winter was in Tuscaloosa last weekend...

Alabama 28 – Mississippi State 21

Mississippi at Tennessee

Coach Scooter will go on record and write that the Vols will not win an SEC game this season. Sure, they looked great against Memphis as they hung half a hundred on them, but remember, they also did the same thing to UT-Martin.

Their other win was against UAB. The way I see it, the Vols cannot beat anyone inside the SEC, so the first of three straight losses to end the year begin on Saturday afternoon.

Ole Miss 24 – Tennessee 20

Vanderbilt at Kentucky

I am sure both the ‘Doores and ‘Cats are thankful Tennessee is in their division since the orange and white are there to break their free fall.

Since both are really awful, but Vandy is just a tad more awfuler (is that a word?) I will take the Big Blue in Lexington.

Make sure to scare the hell out of your spouse or kids when they see those goofy smiles staring back at them the first thing in the morning.

Kentucky 35 – Vanderbilt 17

I’ll make this quick, Arkansas in a rout. How do I know? Well, when your mascot looks a lot like Omar Sharif, that’s your first clue…

Louisiana-Monroe at #5 LSU

Is Louisiana-Monroe the school that was founded by former North Dallas Bulls defensive star, Monroe? They will need him in this one, as well as Delma, Seth, Elliot and Joe Bob.

Well, unless Joe Bob is out pimping his new restaurants, “Joe Bob’s Fine Foods.” (Eat here, or I’ll kill ya…)
