So, is there an alternate spelling of Arkansas?
Yep, its N-E-B-R-A-S-K-A.
What a reckless waste for Arkansas, and a lucky catch for Ole Miss.
Editor's Note -- Thanks Wolf, funny. I hope for Arkansas sake your prediction doesn't come true. Funny that "Nebraska" is now a dirty word in college football.
Anyway, for those who haven't heard, Houston Nutt resigned as head coach at Arkansas (after the LSU win). Only a day later, the announcement that he is taking the vacant job at Ole Miss (after Ed Orgeron's firing).
Makes you wonder if he had it worked out before his resignation from UA.
At first I thought Nutt was fired by Arkansas; which really surprised me; but turns out he resigned. I guess just too much turmoil and controversy in Fayetteville.
So, good for Ole Miss. Houston Nutt is a good coach and a good recruiter. He knows SEC football. He is the first coach in a long time to take the Ole Miss job as a lateral transfer (usually they are coming from an Assistant job somewhere).
If anyone can turn Mississippi football around -- it Houston Nutt. I hope he can.
