The Georgia Bulldogs beat the South Carolina Gamecocks 64-48 tonight in Athens. This time around, the game wasn't close in the second half. Georgia led 39-22 at halftime, and then never let South Carolina come close in the 2nd half. Tonight South Carolina was 1 for 19 from 3 point range, 17-60 overall. Georgia's Trey Thompkins tonight had 20 points and 8 rebounds. Travis Leslie had 15 points tonight.
With Georgia's victory they are now 19-9, 8-6 in conference play. South Carolina's Malik Cooke had 11 points and 9 rebounds tonight. South Carolina didn't play well on defense, Georgia led as much as 24 points in the second half.
The Bulldogs shot 50 percent most of the game. This is the first time the Bulldogs have 19 wins, since the 2002-2003 season.
Georgia will finish at home on Wednesday versus LSU. South Carolina will be home versus Tennessee on Thursday.
