That's right, the Bulldogs of Georgia beats the Vols of Tennessee 69-63 in Knoxville. Georgia who haven't won in Tennessee since 2001, made sure Tennessee wasn't on top of their game. Georgia led as much as 15 points in the 1st half. Georgia who blew a 23 point lead in the 2nd half to Vanderbilt, didn't stop them today. Tennessee came back late in the 1st half and was down by 8 at the half.

In the second half, Tennessee came out with fire, made most of the baskets while Georgia missed some and had turnovers.

Georgia finally came away from Tennessee when they started a 9-4 run late in the game. Dustin Ware's 4 free throws made a difference in the game. Georgia's scoring leader of the game was Jeremy Price with 20 points. Trey Thompkins had 11 points. Georgia is now 18-8, 7-5 in conference play.

Tennessee is 16-11, 6-6 in conference play. Both schools who are aiming to make the NCAA Tournament were also fighting to win 2nd place in SEC East division. With the Bulldogs win, they got on the right side of the bubble. Tennessee scoring leader of the game was Scotty Hopson with 32 points. Both schools committed more than 8 turnovers today. Georgia had 15, Tennessee had 9.

The Vols would need to win the rest of the season and possibly win a couple of games in the SEC Tournament to make the NCAA Tournament.

Georgia plays at Florida next Thursday, while Tennessee plays at Vanderbilt next Tuesday.
