A close comparison of Florida and Oklahoma's schedules reveals they are pretty comparable.
Florida had a slightly tougher non-conference schedule, playing and beating Hawaii, Miami and Florida State (all heading to bowl games).
But, Oklahoma beat TCU and Cincinnati in non-conference games and both of them are headed to bowl games. The only difference is that the third major non-conference match-up for OU was when they played AT Pac-10 Washington.
Of course the Huskies turned out to be terrible this year (0-12), but that's not the Sooner's fault. Obviously that game was scheduled years ago.
Anyway, seems to me, it all really comes down to the conference games each played and which conference is overall tougher -- SEC or Big 12.
I think the Big 12 was up this year (Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State); the SEC down (Tennessee, Auburn, LSU etc). So, I would say OK's Big 12 conference wins are worth more than Florida's SEC wins.
Bottom line is the Big 12 is tougher top to bottom this year, so I give the edge to Oklahoma based on strength of their schedule and quality wins.
Guess, the BCS agrees as it ranks Oklahoma #1; Florida #2.
