As an old-timer of seventy-two baseball seasons, I began watching College Softball two years ago. I know the fast pitch game, having played at the AAA level in Denver's Municipal League in the sixties.
For years I watched AAA and AA baseball, preferring that to Major League Baseball. More enthusiasm, less predictability! Then I discovered Women's College Softball.
In College Softball I enjoy enthusiasm and unpredictability teamed with skill. I love the quickness of the game, and its length--seven innings. I like the men's game, but in my view it doesn't measure up to the women's game in the four factors that I mention above: quickness, enthusiasm, unpredictability, and skill.
