Auburn's come from behind habit will not work this time

by Jason B
(Tampa)

SEC fans are in for a shock. Shock and awe are the name of the game when it comes to the Oregon offense. When all is said and done, the Ducks will hand the Tigers a defeat amidst an offensive shellacking akin to those rascally Spurrier Gators of the past.

Although the national championship game should be an interesting battle of speed (Oregon), quarterback prowess (Newton), and highlight reel filling plays, Oregon should walk away with the national title trophy. Oregon’s ability to start faster than a caged dog chasing a rabbit should prove to be too much for a team like Auburn who has become too accustomed to coming from behind.

For example, Auburn quickly fell behind to both Alabama and Clemson and did manage to roar back and overtake their weaker opponents. Although the Tide and Tigers are no slouch, their offensive abilities pale in comparison to those of the Ducks.

Oregon has proven time and time again that they have player speed and quickness on the field. Additionally, the Ducks have shown that they have an innate ability to fire out of the gates leaving opponent’s in the dust. Auburn’s got their hands full with the Oregon offense and they are sure to fall behind fast. Sure, they’ve got the confidence to be able to stage a possible comeback, but not against a team like Oregon who knows how to finish unlike Alabama and Clemson.

All in all, this should be a great game full of scoring and highlights. In the end, Oregon is just too much for Auburn.

Can't stop cam newton
by: Kenny

Nice article, but forget Oregon's "Shock and Awe." The real shock will be when Oregon's defense is awestruck by their inability to stop Cam Newton.

For that reason, Auburn Will Dominate Oregon!

i predict Auburn to totally dominate this game. From kick-off to burning the the clock at the end.

SEC strong!

POOR LITTLE DUCKIES
by: M Slay

Auburn won't have to comeback from these little upstarts. The only real team they have beat this year is Stanford and they would lose 2 out of three to them. The problem for the little duckies is they, like everyone, every year have never seen the kind of team speed and overall talent of the top teir SEC teams. They haven't seen a defense like they will see and though they will score some points, It will be amazing if Auburn has to punt in this game period. Little pac 10, little 10, little 12, it's all the same. The little 10 is by far the 2nd best conference this year, and as usual the little pac 10 is over rated. Seems like we have this same debate every year and every year the SEC proves every one else WRONG. This year will be no different. SEC 5 in a row.
