I love the new Arkansas Razorbacks. Coach Pelfry has done a wonderful job getting this young bunch of players ready to play and my hat is off to him.
My biggest surprise is Washington. The man is outstanding. His play has improved so much since last year. Washington is the backbone of the team and the "go to" guy. What I like about Washington is that he plays smart and he can finish the play.
Not many people in the NCAA can handle him and that is the reason Arkansas will make a good standing in the NCAA tournament this year. My biggest disappointment this year is the play of Sanchez. He's big and strong and can rebound, but when he gets the ball inside he can't finish. He acts like he's affraid to take the ball to the hoop. A person that big should finish strong and go to the hoop with authority.
But all in all I'm very proud of our team this year. They beat #4 ranked Oklahoma and then #7 ranked Texas. There's no reason they should not be ranked. Arkansas just don't get any respect from the AP or the coaches pole.
Maybe when we make it to the final four people will stand up and take notice of the Hogs. Coach Pelfry should no doubt get the coach of the year award this year for the job that he's done.
