Week 8 Preview

Last week: 4-1 - Season: 40-9

Jacksonville State at Kentucky

Why does Kentucky schedule these games? Don't they know this gives the SEC a black eye? An OVC school kicking the tar out of an SEC school? Next thing you know, J-State will be the next school rumored to be added to the SEC.

I think we need to speak with the Kentucky AD and see if we can get some more D-1 schools on the schedule so the Cats don't give us all a bad name.

Jacksonville State 24 - Kentucky 10

Arkansas at Ole Miss

All I can think about is that old ESPN college basketball promo with Robert Goulet. With those wacky uniforms with the pigs with horns? And did I hear you say, you were playin' a game today.with the home crowd yellin' whooooo pig sooey.

You know those pigs might be hogs to you but they're kosher to me.capache?"

Sorry, I had to think about that since I didn't want to think about how ugly this one is going to get.

Arkansas 37 - Ole Miss 7

Auburn at LSU

The Tigers are on a roll. Um, that's the one wearing purple and gold. LSU slept walked through the first half of the Tennessee game last week, but this week, I am sure Auburn has their attention.

If the Tigers, (Um, the ones in burnt orange and navy blue) had a steady quarterback and an offense that could move the ball at will, I would pick an upset since LSU is due for a stinker sooner or later, but it is not going to be this week, especially in front of the home crowd.

Let's not go wakin' the Governor Kingfish now...AYYYYIIIIEEEEEEE! GO TIGERS! (Thanks, Lawrence, for that one. Say hey to Gavin and Miss Babs for us, will ya?)

LSU 31 - Auburn 14

Army at Vanderbilt

Will Vandy Head Coach James Franklin get mouthy with the Army coaching staff this week? I wouldn't recommend it. If the Black Knights get a case of the red ass, all they will have to do is whip out a couple of bazooka's and start blowing things up.

I think Coach Franklin will be a nice guy this week, which is good since his team should be the ones blowing things up on the field.

Vanderbilt 28 - Army 14

Tennessee at Alabama

This just in, Trent Richardson just scored on Ole Miss again.

You have to feel for the Vols as they do not have the team to compete in the SEC yet, and the schedule has them going up against the two best teams in the country in successive Saturdays. Have the AD's at Tennessee and Kentucky been getting together to sip the shine as they put their schedules together?

I think Coach Saban will take it easy on the Vols, not because he is a nice guy, but there is no way Tennessee will do anything against that defense, and he does not want to get anyone hurt before the November 5th showdown with LSU.

I think once Trent Richardson (By the way, he just scored again) gets the Tide up by two or three touchdowns, Saban will call off the dogs and put it in cruise control.

Look on the bright side, Vol fans, after this one, there are only four games left in the season and that has to be good news, right?
